So here we are closing yet another year and time is rapidly dwindling away like it does when you grow old. Almost like those trips to Jersey when I was a kid that felt like it took a week and now consumes half a day. Weird. Whatever time I've been getting over the holidays has been musically productive. Writing, writing and more writing. New material is a good thing. It's refreshing to know I can still pull it off and make the words and music meld into one another. The show in January is keeping me on top of the chops to make sure I'm audibly pleasant. So what does 2010 have in store? I think it has a beginning for me. A new year to transform myself even more into a 'pure' individual. Working mentally, physically and socially aware towards being a good human being. 2010 will bring a "Rachel Leyco" solo CD and for once something just because I want to share my music with you and no longer because I need the money. It will (hopefully) bring some time to reclaim my love for the ocean and revisit my aspirations to ride waves and feel that rush that I think will help me mentally that I have seem to have lost for the past 10 years of my life. Cheers to peace, love and gratitude... Happy New Year friends!
